RIDES Mass Transit District - Employment Opportunities

Rides Mass Transit District offers a benefit package to eligible employees, which includes:

Driver

An 8-hour work schedule predominately runs between the hours of 6am to 6pm; However a driver may need to work nights and weekends as needed.
Must have a good driving record and have or be able to obtain CDL license within 1 month of employment
Rides will train qualified candidates.
Starting pay is $10.35 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift differential for night and weekend shifts. After successful completion of a minimum three-month training period, drivers will receive $10.85 per hour.

- Rides Mass Transit District is funded in part by the Delta Regional Authority. The DRA, a federal-state partnership, is congressionally mandated to identify and provide economic development investments to the 252 counties and parishes of the Delta. The investments come through the DRA's States' Economic Development Assistance Program to support job creation and community development projects.
  
  Through the Rural Communities Advancement Program the DRA funds regional initiatives like Rides Mass Transit District with the guiding principal to build communities and improve lives in the Delta Region.
